NENEK GERONDONG

Traditional game from DKI Jakarta purpose if someone need some helps from us, we must help them. If we can do we must give that they. Nenek gerondong is symbol of someone who need help, and ubi (sweet potato) is symbol of property. This game useful to tell us don’t be misery person.


How to play :

1. Do hompimpa together with your friends.

2. The loser became nenek gerondong.

3. The other became ubi (sweet potato). And they are embracing one other.


 

4. And the mother of ubi (sweet potato) to hold on trees.

5. Nenek gerondong come to aks for ubi from mother.

6. Mother’s ubi answer : “ Ubinya berdaun satu” nenek gerondong cannot drow it. And Nenek Gorondong come back to her house

7. And nenek gerondong come again and ask ubi again

8. Mother’s ubi said, “Ubinya sudah berdaun dua”. Nenek gerondong can drow one of them.

9. And Nenek Gerondong with her ubi come to mother’s ubi to ask ubi again.

“ Tok tok tok buka pintu?”

“ Siapa?”

“Nenek gerondong”

“Minta apa?”

“ Minta ubi”.

“Silakan cabut”.

10. Nenek gerondong do it again until ubi finish.

11. Nenek gerondong bring her ubi to her house. And she wants to boil ubi, but she doesn’t have any salt. She must buy it.

12. When she goes, the Ubi hide.

13. And Nenek Gerondong must find them. Firstly caught, she is the next of Nenek Gerondong.
